Can we uninstall a plugin in ServiceNow

Good morning, is there a way to uninstall a plugin from our environment?  The previous developer of our platform installed ITBM and took it all the way to production.  We are not licensed for this and we are not using it, I'd like to remove it and all of the configurations/customizations that were done to it, from our environments.  Is this possible?

Hi there,

No you can't uninstall a plugin.

If it concerns a non-prod instance, you could have the instance wiped or refreshed from a clone from a higher instance that has not got that plugin.

If my answer helped you in any way, please then mark it as helpful.

Kind regards,

I wanted to point out that it is possible to rollback a plugin installation, but it's only for a certain amount of time after the plugin is installed.

Here is the documentation:

https://docs.servicenow.com/en-US/bundle/sandiego-platform-administration/page/administer/table-administration/task/roll-back-rollback-context.html

This is useful if you install a plugin by mistake, you can easily roll it back without having to wipe the instance or clone again.

Hi @Linda Grant ,

No !! once activated, a plugin cannot be deactivated or deleted.

Mark my answer correct & Helpful, if Applicable.

Thanks,

Hi,

I would suggest to raise a HI ticket as this is something related with production and have already been subscribed on your organization.

It is not possible to uninstall plugging directly from our end we should get it done with the help of ServiceNow support team only.

Thanks,
