Hello Community
I have an issue with the Service Catalogs Homepages and Categories
This is how the issue appear:
- I created an empty Service Catalog
- I created some Catalog Items
- Cool Service 1
- Cool Stuff
- Then, I created the Category, and added the Catalog Items from step 2, into this Category
- I started to modify the homepage for the Service Catalog, and I included the categories into the homepage
Until this point, everything is working as expected.
But then I realized that I needed to update the category name and description, I updated the Category in Maintain Categories, but the change wasn't reflected on the homepage, the title and description weren't updated, I tried to update directly from the homepage option (pencil icon), it opened the category with the updated information, as an unexpected result, the update is not being showed updated in the widget.
Solved! Go to Solution.

It was weird, but it resolved when I add an item into the category, seems that this action forced an update.
Also, I added myself in the user homepage field (Hompage Admin > Pages, open your working page, add yourself or the admin people into user field), this was to prevent ServiceNow to create copy, and work with the parent page, after you're done with the homepage edit, you may remove yourself.

I have this same question. I am in Fuji, and just realized that I need to change the Category Title after it was created, items added to it, and it was added to a Catalog.
It appears fine when I open the category, but when I use the "Add Content" button on the Catalog page, it still says the old name.
I have tried several things to get it to update...made the category inactive, then active. Removed and added the Catalog from the Category. Removed and Added the Category from the Catalog page. I even tried updating the update set to change the title there...
Any ideas on how to get the "add content" option to pull the updated category title?
thanks,
Richelle

That worked. I only needed to do the first part. And it had to be a New catalog item...simply moving one over that already existed didn't work.
Weird. Thanks for the help!
