Custom Workspace lists are not appearing for users

Hi,

Custom Workspace lists are not appearing for users but as a admin i can see, despite configuring the List Applicability records and Audience. Could anyone please suggest a solution for this issue?

Root Cause
The root cause of the issue is that users without the 'canvas_user' or 'snc_external' roles are not able to see the lists on the workspaces. This is due to an internal story related to Enhanced-Security-model-Adaption for tables sys_ux_applicability_m2m_list, sys_ux_list_menu_config, sys_ux_list, sys_ux_my_list, which requires explicit roles for users to work on those entries.

Steps to Resolve
1. Ensure that users who need to access the objects have the required roles described, which include 'canvas_user' or 'snc_external' for sys_ux_list and sys_ux_my_list, and 'ui_builder_admin' or 'delegated_developer' for sys_ux_applicability_m2m_list.

 

2) refer KB: KB2558683 Custom Lists Not Displaying in New Workspace for HR 

Resolution

I checked on the issue and found that List Applicability for custom list is missing in the instances.

I have created for the Case Reader to be visible list.

List Applicability: sys_ux_applicability_m2m_list

You can find it from the related list of the UX List:sys_ux_list

Hi @Tanushree Maiti Thank you for your quick response. I would like to mention that while creating the workspace, I assigned my custom role  instead of canvas_user role and removed the canvas_user role. I then used this custom role for audience creation and list applicability. Could this be the reason for my issue?

Hi @vijani , 

As per KB , it is required to have either  'canvas_user' or 'snc_external' for sys_ux_list and sys_ux_my_list tables.

 

Can you try with that, whether that is working.
