Date field default value does not translate in French

Hi everyone,

We have multiple forms on our service portal that are using the OOB Date field. Because we are located in Montreal, all of our forms are developed and translated in French.

By default, the date field returns an example text by default of YYYY-MM-DD.

However, we noticed today that when we set our instance in French, that example text is not translated as it should be to AAAA-MM-JJ (french).

We thought this was a problem in our instance so I did a test on my personal developer instance and the problem is the same. Does anyone know if this is a known SN translation bug and if there is a fix for this? I couldn't find anywhere in the variable where to change this.

Thank you!

Hi EdN,

Your workaround is a permanent fix.  It looks like this one was missed OOTB.

If you look at Localization > Translated Name / Fields, you will see your own translation now registered:

You will see other question.example_text in this module, but your date format one was missed.
