Global search not returning Policy or Configuration records as results

Hello Community,

In the above screenshot, I am trying to search for a keyword - incident in the global search and it returns me only Task, Knowledge and catalog, People and places - Not the Policy records.

The Policy records I mean above are these ones...

How do I make sure I get these policy records also displayed along with the search results.

I have added a Text Search group - named it as Policy - in the ts_group table and added the following Text search tables:

Please advise, what else needs to be done, for me to be able to see the Policy records also in the global search.

Hi @Anish Reghu

unfortunately you only provide spare information. No URL, only small parts of complete screenshots (not helpful!) and no context.

So my assumption is you are on the Next Experience. If so, you have to configure the global search in a different way: https://docs.servicenow.com/en-US/bundle/utah-platform-user-interface/page/administer/navigation-and...

@Maik Skoddow thanks for taking time to reply.

I have updated the question.

Also Maik,

I could understand from your response that I was adding search source for Core UI, instead I should do it for Next Experience UI, but the Search Source table that is suggested in the documentation is not a group record where we can add all relevant tables as in the case of ts_group.LIST records. So, is it that we have to add all the tables one-by-one in the sys_search_source.LIST table?

Anish
