Global Search Results with Next Experience sorting

On the Global Search results page for San Diego using Next Experience clicking the "View All" for a section (such as "View all Task - Incidents") the page displayed is not a list display that is sortable.  Previously this page was a list display and you could click on the column headers such as "Created" or "Closed" to sort if you were looking for more recent tickets.  I don't see anything in the documentation for how to adjust this. Is there a configuration for this display?

I found that you can still access the old global search results whilst using the Next Experience by using this URL:

https://<INSTANCE_NAME>/now/nav/ui/classic/params/target/%24sn_global_search_results.do%3Fsysparm_search%3D<SEARCH_TERM>

I just set up a site search shortcut in Chrome to make an easy way to search using the old global search and also made it a favourite in ServiceNow.

Since the old search capability is still available you would think ServiceNow would have a setting that lets you revert to the old one, but I can't find it yet. There is a property called glide.ui.use_legacy_global_search but that reverts it to the really old global search.
