How to check if a decimal number is falling in a range or not using the script

Hello All,

I have 2 custom tables ,the First table has the score captured in the decimal field-Final score, For ex-25.44.

The second table has a choice field named Range which has the following ranges

1.upto 25 ,

2.26-50,

3.50-75, 

4.76-90 

Now , how to validate if the Final score falls in any of the ranges   mentioned above using a BR? Please advise
