How to create a new asset substate

How do I create a new asset substate.  The available "substates" under the "state" retired does not have option that we would like to use in our company.  If this is possible what role would I require to carry this out.  Thanks

Hi Jen,

you can edit or add substates.

see details at

Thank you for the quick reply.  What I was after was to create more substates in addition to the ones that are already there.  Thanks

This is something that a System Admin performs.

  1. Select the State for which you want to add a Substate,e.g In stock.
  2. Right-click the label for Substate and Personalize Choices.
  3. Notice only the Substates for In stock display. Add your new Substate. It will only be available as an option when In stock is selected.
