How to display a variable's label instead of its value on catalog task?

I have a question on how to display a variable's label instead of its value on catalog task?

Here's what I see on the catalog task, it's showing support group's value, instead of its label name or display name:  

Here's what I put on the flow to have it displayed:

 It needs to see the display name like on the request:

Any suggestions? Thoughts?

I only see the support group as sys_id when I open catalog task/ RITM. The rest is showing it as displayed name, not sys_id.

Not sure what you mean by native UI/portal but it displays correctly on the service hub when I tried to approve the request before it sends to the catalog task. See attached.

And how are you creating these requests. I mean how does a user raise a request in your instance? What do the user see when they are raising the catalog item
