I’m working on enabling Key Management in ServiceNow using APIs.
From the UI, I understand that after assigning the required role to a user, the user must log out and log back in for the cryptographic module to be enabled.
My question is:
- Is there a way to enable the cryptographic module programmatically via API without requiring a manual logout/login?
- Can key management (such as key creation or activation) be handled fully through REST or Script APIs?
- Are there specific plugins or configurations that must be enabled beforehand?
I’m trying to automate the setup process and avoid manual UI steps as much as possible.
Any guidance or examples would be greatly appreciated.
