Is there a simple way to find what columns stores what data in CMDB tables. I found "CMDB tables descriptions" documentation which explain about tables but there is no column information.
For example, if I want to store kernel data like name , release and version, there might be OOTB CMDB table related to that information. How to find columns information of CMDB tables?
Thanks.

You can check the CI Identification rules in CI Class manager which you can find in the Application Navigator, In CI Identification rules you can check the rules on how data is mapped to the specific tables on basis of columns. Choose the class in the CI class manager and check the Identification rules.

Thanks for the reply. I think these are for Discovery and Service Mapping. But what about other information? What if I want to add data obtained from other sources, like from api, then how can I know where to store them?
