How to find the size of your instance

There have been questions in the community on how to find the size of your instances, so I want to share this to save others some time.

For London and later releases:  as an admin logged into the instance navigate to Instance Usage > Application Usage Overview and scroll down to Additional Metrics > Primary DB size (MB).

For versions Kingston (and before):  create a Hi ticket for "Instance Size Info Request" , as the metric is not available but the Hi techs can see the database and get you the info fairly quickly.

I covered this in another post.  See if this article helps.

It's archived.

@Jeff Currier the link in the above post says Article is archived. Please can you post the actual information this article or any link that answers the query

@Praveen Mariapp and @Agata Thanks for letting me know.  I didn't realize that had been archived.  That said, it was a bit obsolete anyway.  In 2024, the best way to find the size of you instance, AND the largest tables, is to use the Database Footprint request in the support portal.  Just log into the portal, go to the automation store, Pick Service Catalog and Instance Management, and look for Database Footprint.  The request does the rest once you pick your instance name.

And the results look like this
