We set up the KB plug-in on our DEV environment and created about 50 records. The we enabled KB plug-in on TEST environment and migrated the records. When we perform a search on DEV for "weblogic" we get 31 matches - the same search on TEST returns 8 matches. Did we miss something? Do we need to reindex on TEST?

This wiki article explains what you'll need to do.

Thanks for the suggestion. It's a good article, but the box was already checked for kb_knowledge. I ran the reindexing command over night but still getting the same 8 results in TEST.

As long as those articles are published and the users trying to search on them have permissions, then it's probably an issue with your indexing job. You can try to force the 'text index events process' scheduled job to run by setting its next run time to a time in the past and updating the scheduled job record. If that doesn't work then you'll probably need to contact support because there's something wrong with your instance.

One other thing you might try would be to update a couple of the articles in your test environment that should be showing in the search results and see if that kicks off the index for those records. That may be an issue depending on how you ran the import.
