Hello @SaiDixitaK ,

Please follow the thread to get an idea:

https://www.servicenow.com/community/community-central-forum/i-would-like-to-completely-delete-my-se...

Recommendation: Before deleting your account, consider these points:

  • Certifications and badges: You may lose access to your existing learning history unless it is properly transferred or merged.
  • ServiceNow Community: Your posts, comments, and accepted solutions may be affected.
  • Personal Developer Instance (PDI): Your existing instance and project history may be affected, depending on the account action.

Please contact ServiceNow Support to confirm whether the email can be reused before deleting the account.

Please marK helpful & correct answer if it's worthy for you.

Hi @SaiDixitaK

First, please note that you cannot delete your ServiceNow account on your own. You may need to raise a support case to request its deletion.

If you wish to create a new account using the same email ID, I would recommend contacting ServiceNow Support to confirm whether this is possible and whether any additional steps are required.

To better understand your situation, could you please clarify a few things?

  • Is the account you want to delete a personal account or a corporate account?
  • Do you hold any mainline certifications under this account?
  • Could you please share the reason for wanting to delete the account?

This information will help determine the best way to proceed.

Servicenow suggests delete of a user while

"It is a common scenario where a user gets married and changes their name. In this scenario, we would advise to create a new account for the user and deactivate the previous account
This would always be the recommended approach before looking at merging /deleting a user"

@SaiDixitaK Can you be more specific about which account you would want to delete?  Do you mean the user ID in a ServiceNow instance, you ServiceNow Support portal account or the account use use to access this community or other?

For a user ID in a ServiceNow instance it is generally not recommended to delete an account but to only make it inactive.  Deleting the account destroys the audit trail.  There are reasons to do that, but generally it is better to remove the record data if it is no longer required for audit purposes and not the user ID.
