Hello everyone and sorry in advance if this is not the proper channel.
I've been working with ServiceNow for years on a Mac OS, but now I have to switch to Windows due to company's policy.
I've have some visual impairment which makes hard to read and work the entire day on Windows. The fonts are a bit thinner in the external monitor.
Is there a way to change the default font in the platform in Windows?
I've already used ClearType to tune a little, no effect on the platform. MacType is not an option, it didn't make any effect in the platform.
As all changes I did so far didn't do any effect in the platform, I have a feeling that it has the font defined somewhere, anyone knows anything about it?
thanks,
Luiz

Hello! I'm sorry that you're having that issue. ServiceNow released a Chrome based extension (which should be usable for all chrome based browsers, including Microsoft Edge) that allows you to adjust the type of font and spacing for websites (including ServiceNow). Not sure if it'll solve your problem, but its worth a try!

Hope that helps!

ahoy @Luiz Lucena,
sorry to hear about the OS downgrade but how does it relate to ServiceNow?
If it is on an external screen it might be caused by a poor performance of your machine or anything else, it is impossible to tell without knowing any details. I would recommend you to contact your service desk, there's not much we can do about it....

Hi @GlideFather
Because I can modify the default font at the browser level, but ServiceNow doesn't "respect" that settings.
I'm pretty sure if because DOM protection. So, not sure if there is a way to improve how the platform presents the text.
I tried increasing the font a little at the browser settings, but only the header menu followed that settings.
So, no matter what I do at the OS or browser level, it doesn't do anything in the instance, that's why I'm asking if anyone knows how to change or improve the font in the platform.

@Luiz Lucena Can you confirm this is specific to ServiceNow only?
Do all other pages display the fonts correctly?
also, do you have access to another laptops (Mac or Win) to test?
If the fonts display correctly on a different machine, the issue is likely with your setup rather than ServiceNow..

Yes sir.
Only the platform.
My glasses is for far sight, I can read the SN community (an any other page) normally, with my glasses.
But the fonts within the platform (in Windows only, keep that in mind), looks thinner. So I have to remove my glasses and get closer to the screen to read better.
The screenshot below depicts what I'm trying to explain. It looks small, but is not that small.
