Is ServiceNow going to keep using AngularJS after it's deprecated in July 1st, 2021?

AngularJS, the predecessor of the Angular framework - which is more stable than ever - will end its long term support in 1 year, accoding to their blog post. That means it's not going to receive any more fixes or updates. Will ServiceNow keep using it as the number one solution?

This is just my personal opinion and you would need to reach out to ServiceNow for an official answer.

Given that ServiceNow are still using Bootstrap version 3.3.6, and version 4 was released back in 2018 I would imagine ServiceNow will keep using AngularJS. Also it would probably be a lot of work for them to switch over.

Thanks,
Dan

As of what I have heard, they would be moving to ReactJS in 2021 (September release).

Has ServiceNow confirmed they will be moving to ReactJS?

Hey guys, the official answer is now avalable here: https://support.servicenow.com/kb?id=kb_article_view&sysparm_article=KB0965345

Service Portal is built using a fork of the open-source AngularJS web application framework.

On July 1, 2018, AngularJS officially moved to Long Term Support (LTS) mode. The LTS will end on
December 31, 2021. Please refer to the following document for additional details:
https://blog.angular.io/stable-angularjs-and-long-term-support-7e077635ee9c

The AngularJS team will no longer provide support beyond LTS. However, ServiceNow is
committed to addressing security fixes in the forked AngularJS version shipped with the Service
Portal platform.

In short, there will be no impact on customers and users as a result of AngularJS's end of LTS on
December 31, 2021.
