Mandatory fields are not showing up as mandatory fields on loading

Hi SNOW experts,

                                                                                  In my current Service Now client instance we are facing multiple scenarios where users are able to proceed saving the form without populating mandatory data.

When we tried to replicate the issue with the same user we are not able to replicate the same, As the tool is prompting to fill mandatory field.

Have anyone faced this issue in your SNOW instances and Kindly share me if there are any Root Cause identified for this issue.

    Thanks for the quick response , As per the threads Data Policy is considered as one suggestion instead of UI Policies to avoid the Mandatory field issue.


Whereas we are facing the same mandatory bug in Catalog Variables too where users have submitted the form without providing the mandatory details.



            We did some basic analysis and observed that the UI Policy is configured to make a field mandatory in Catalog Form, Request Item Form and Catalog Task form. But still the UI Policies are failing during the submission of the Service Request form and allowing users to submit the Request without filling the Mandatory field.



In this case we don't have any functionality other than Client Script,UI Policy to be used,


We also observed that this is mostly encountered in Internet Explorer than Google or Chrome.



Kindly share us your expertise on the issue.


The key to figuring this out is to narrow down the variables until you have a known constant.



Is it all IE11 users or just some of them?



Is it all pages with UI policies?



Can it be easily reproduced?
