Mid Server Issue

Hello,

We have few Mid Server, The two MID Servers appear to be going down every night around 1:00am. Normally these MID Servers are only supposed to go down on the weekends.

Looking into the logs the only line that aligns with the time the server goes down is "Running system command: credentials_reload". For example we got the yaleprodeur2 MID server was down email at 1:00am on 1/17. The log for "Running system command: credentials_reload" was created at 1:00am as well. These servers don't stay down for long if at all, they immediately come back up.

Maybe the crendentials_reload command is briefly signing out the "logged-in" user which causes the server to go down for second.

Any idea what's happening and how to resolve it.

Kind Regards,

Anmol

Hi @AnmolS502006386,

how are the mid server accounts managed? Because things like Cyberark or other types of management tools could be the cause and its normal that they need to restart the services so they can acknowledge the new password in the network.

If the whole server itself is rebooting it must be some kind of enterprise server policy or updates / patches pushed towards the server. Check the event logs on the mid server.

Hi Anmol, I randomly stumbled across this one. We were also experiencing the same. No heavy workload observed, no clear error/severe logs, and every time MID would go down there would be "credential reload" probes issued to all MID servers.

While this would be happening with us every few days, I haven't seen it happening recently. I wonder if it's the same for you?
