Hi everyone,
I am a complete beginner in SNOW. My company is switching from Jira to SNOW. The IT department gave me access(scrum.admin) to the company's SNOW page. Is there a way to create a project as it is done in Jira? In Jira, if you go to Projects -> Create a Project -> Scrum Project Template. I need a similar layout like in this video provided by SNOW. How can I achieve it? Right now, SNOW looks like a spreadsheet(super ugly) and it is not configured. I need a detailed beginner's guide, to be honest." Maybe someone can guide me step by step.
#projectmanagement #agile #scrum
I will provide some basic details of what is needed:
1) Able to create projects -> epics -> stories and tasks -> subtasks
2) Roadmap(e.g. Gantt chart) -> full epic hierarchy
3)Backlog
4) Sprint board
5) Dashboard
and so on
Solved! Go to Solution.

Hello,
You have an entire solution : Agile Development
You need to activate the plugin on System definition > Plugins
But be careful, it may be if it's not included in your solution.
Get in touch with serviceNow to get information about costs.
Maybe it's included with your instance
Don't activate the plugin until you're sure you can activate it everywhere.

Hello,
If I'm not mistaken, I think you have the ITIL role.
To activate plugins you need to see the admin role, which is why you don't see the plugin module.
The image also seems to show not the agile solution but a dashboard
If you want to try out the admin role and the agile solution, you can request a personal instance (PDI).

To activate the plugin in production with your company's instance and check license costs

Thank you for your reply Florian. I will text snow right now. Btw, I do not see plugin option:
I can create epics, stories, taks, etc. Maybe it is already installed? The thing is creating issues is not as convenient as in Jira, and the interface is ugly. I took a video to demonstrate what I mean. You cannot compare this one to Jira issue management. So based on this video can we conclude that I do not have an agile development plugin? Also, I cannot download plugins from the Snow store
I will contact Snow and ask the IT department what's going on. I think they are doing a poor job.

Thank you for reply, Florian. So I requested from IT an admin and it_prject_manager(in the documentation it is indicated that this role is needed to manage issues) roles.
In terms of agile dev plugin, it is activated as IT told me, but everything should be set up from the beginning, that is why, I want to just use one of the existing scrum/agile pm templates. I can create issues(epics, tasks, etc) but I do not like the layout and you cannot create tasks/stories/epic on the same webpage. You have to go from one page to another which makes things complicated.
