Multiple Log entries for: Failed to register PIV/CAC certificate to the user account

HI All,

We recently upgraded one of our sub production instances to Rome from Quebec and have noticed a few entries in the logs since upgrading.
The log is an Info level log.
The Message is:
Failed to register PIV/CAC certificate to the user account. Please close your browser, ensure your card is inserted and try again

Believe this is related to certificate based authentication:
https://docs.servicenow.com/bundle/rome-platform-administration/page/integrate/authentication/concep...

Whilst there is no actual error - these are rather annoying, does anyone know where this is located?

Kind Regards,
Shane

Hi,

I was curious since I have noticed these messages also, so I've looked it up, and it's part of two widgets, Login and User Profile widget.

As a ServiceNow consultant, I'm baffled that ServiceNow requires having some sort of role to access necessary documentation about it's platform and associated issues.

Even if you have access to the Hi portal.

ESPECIALLY when something is broken!

The anxiety of getting this message when I click a 'Look at this KB' link I come across on this forum. Because when I get it, I know I'm going to waste days on submitting a new Case on the HI portal where I explain my issue > Get a response that I need to look at the same KB article > Having to explain that it doesn't work for some reason > Then just to get the summary of the KB article replied to in the Case.

I feel that this system is kind of an insult.
