Replace approver in workflow

Hi,

I want to change approver in workflow. There might be many workflows where I have to make changes.So please can anyone tell how to do this in efficient way.

Agree. If this is a temporary outage or you need action immediately but if it's a permanent situation, it would be wise to consider changing your workflows. Especially if this person doesn't want to be receiving approval requests as he/she is no longer involved in the approval.

Helpful tip: If you have to go through and update all these workflows anyway... change them from a user approval to a group approval, then put the approver person in the group. If you ever have to change the approver again in the future, you simply change the group members. Yes, a group of 1 sounds silly at first, but consider the fact that you will never have to go through this search and replace exercise again! You simply take the old approver out of the group and put the new one in (you could even have both at the same time during a transition period!) That's something a Junior Admin could do in production!
