I'm testing the behavior of the Expiry Date field available in document records ds_document.do of the document management tool ds_document_list.do. Yesterday, August 5th, I created a record, set the Expiry Date field to August 6, 2026, and added the link to a knowledge article. Today, I checked document record and the permalink and noticed the following:
- The Default Version and State were rendered into a read-only state
- The ability to retrieve the permalink for the document is unavailable
- The permalink that I added to the knowledge article is still accessible on the knowledge article
To confirm, is it the expected behavior that adding an expiration date to the document's record does not render the permalink inaccessible? What should be done to make it so that the permalink is no longer live?
