ServiceNow and Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

Hi all

My current client is preparing to move to the GCP for their server requirements.

At the momen the CMDB is quite barren which is a nice place to be, but we will need to perform Discovery and provisioning operations.

Looking at the documentation for the ServiceNow Cloud Management, it is catering for AWS, Azure and VMWare pretty well, but not much mention of GCP., indeed the only real reference I have seen so far is the Cloud Management API and that was almost non existent.

Is, or has anyone on here used ServiceNow with GCP and got any good pointers or links that would be useful ?

The base platform only provides you with AWS, Azure and VMware (vCenter), you can use the steps mentioned below to connect to a new cloud provider in this case google. 

For Google side you will need to create a ServiceAccount and use the same to setup new Cloud credentials.

So OOTB there is no GCP support yet but in case you want to discover resource, you will have to use the above as starting point. We have already implemented the same at some customers but it's a project in itself.

Can do that and more customisation's, however as it is in the pipeline and I do not need it within the next few weeks I am hoping it will appear before I do need it.

Be my luck that I would start to write the customisation's and then the OOB code is released

I can confirm the Google Cloud plugin or discovery will not be there at least in Madrid OOTB. So in cane you could wait it could be New York which will be at-least 6 months after Madrid GA. You can validate the same using early customer previews or personal developer instance or check with ServiceNow Account Manager.
