ServiceNow reports not visible until report created publish the report.

Hi Team, 

 

User have report_admin role access, but can't see a report which was created by other user untill he publish that report ? is that by design.

Yes it is by design only. Once you published the report it will available for users.

When stating "until he publish", do you mean until the other user saves the report in ServiceNow or until he press publish?

If you mean until the other user saves the report, then yes, that is by design as nothing is entered into the database. If you mean until the other user press "publish" but after he has saved it, it doesn't make any sense. A user with a report_admin role should have access to all reports no matter sharing permissions.

Hi @B Ashok ,

 

Have you verified that you with an admin can see the report and afterwards impersonated the report_admin user that he can't see the report? Which table is the report based on?
