my client is saying populated host name is incorrect for few device, host name is different from their DNS.

Hi @Amit_H ,
There is OOB property for ssh, window and SNMP device which responsible for taking host name from local instead of from DNS. You just need to make those false if you want discovery to consider host from DNS lookup.
Property name: glide.discovery.hostname.ssh_trusted
