Hi everyone. We are trying to use Guided Tour and published in Production (not in QA or DEVELOPMENT) but we have some doubts in the real use of it.
We want for example to publish a tour to creat projects but may be we are doing some things wrong because when we show how to create the project and published it , the first step is click in bottom NEW so we are guiding to create the project instead of showing how to create but not creating the project itself.
May be Guided Tour is not thinked to use in the way we thougth.
Can anyone help me with this? Thanks in advanced.
Adrian

To me Guided Tours is to explain thing on a form. For example we use it to explain the incident form to ITIL users (when it came to creating an incident we used a QRG). We also used Guided Tours in the Service portal to give them explanations on everything in the landing page.

If you have a tour that teaches users how to create records, then you can leave the tour in a training or sub-production environment for this purpose. You would just need to handle your cloning somehow to either preserve the records, or promote it to production, deactivate it, and then run a post-clone script to re-activate in the sub-production it needs to live in.
