Hi All,

We are planning to enable service portal plugin "Service Portal for Enterprise Service Management".

Kindly help to know,  if we need to purchase any license / fees associated for enabling the plugin.

Request your help in identifying plugins, which has cost/license fee associated with them.

Regards,

Manish Nagar

Hello Manish,

If you need a plugin and you can't see as admin user in the available plugins list then it usually means it has a fee associated and you should contact the ServiceNow Account manager for your company.

Otherwise you can activate the plugins yourself.

Hello Manish,

The basic option to see if a Plugin comes free or costs any fee is to log into your instance as System Administrator and use the Application Navigator to navigate to System Definition > Plugins.

There, you will see a list with all plugins that are available for activation on your instance. Each one of them contains a description. In each description it would be mentioned some information. If you encounter similar to the screenshot below, then this should mean that the activation of the plugin into a production environment might cost you a fee.

However, it has to be noted that this information is not always correct!

The plugins that you can activate for free on a production environment depend on the subscription of yours.

To confirm this, you need to review the order form of it. There, the subscription details will be contained.
That's why, the most appropriate and most sufficient approach for you will be to contact your ServiceNow Sales representative or the one of your customer / client.
Depending on the subscription, the Sales representative will be able to provide you with clear information about the plugins that you may activate in a production environment without any additional fees and which ones are paid.
