Yansa's JIRA Integration Framework

Has anyone used the "Yansa's JIRA Integration Framework" on the ServiceNow store to integrate between Jira and ServiceNow?  We are specifically integrating incidents and not stories so the Agile 2.0 integration does not apply here.

We looked into the Jira spoke, but we found it would require a lot of customization to "map" which incidents/requests map to which projects in Jira. We would need custom tables and an import process to import meta data about Jira projects and custom rules to map them.

The Yansa integration seems to have these pieces built already in their framework. Curious if anyone has used and what their experience has been.

Hi @KarenJak I haven't heard of Yansa's integration until this post, so I can't comment on the experience, but I'm from another ServiceNow partner called Unito. We're a 2-way integration platform designed to be code-free and user-friendly, yet fully customizable. Our primary use case for ServiceNow is ITSM and incident management, so I think we can help.

I wrote this step-by-step guide on how to sync Jira Service Management with ServiceNow (the same steps apply to Jira Software).

Roughly speaking, you can build a Unito flow in around 15 minutes (once you're familiar with the interface) and configure it so that newly created issues in Jira create matching records in ServiceNow (or vice versa), while changes in either end update the other automatically in real-time. Additionally, each individual pair of linked fields can have its own directional sync to give you full control over who can update fields in your other connected tool(s).

You can achieve something similar to this:

With a field mapping table that looks like this:

And you can find more technical documentation on Unito's knowledge base. Here's our ServiceNow documentation and you can find details about our security and compliance policies here.

Feel free to reach out with any questions!

Integrating incidents between Jira and ServiceNow can be a bit of a hassle sometimes, especially when you're looking for something that's not covered by the standard Agile 2.0 integration. I get what you mean about the Jira spoke needing a lot of customization. It can feel like reinventing the wheel, which is exactly why solutions like Yansa's pique my interest. Having those pieces pre-built sounds like it could save a ton of time and headache. If anyone's curious, I found some more info about it at https://evelon.co.uk. Collaboration is essential in these kinds of integrations, and having a framework that streamlines the process could really boost teamwork efficiency.

Hello @KarenJak I am the primary architect of Yansa's Jira Integration Framework.  I would be more than happy to discuss with you the features and approach used with our product.  Our framework was created to provide you with all of the configuration tables and rules necessary to create a robust ServiceNow-Jira integration with any part of the ServiceNow platform.  Our framework is 100% built on ServiceNow and requires no third party modules or tools.  I know this reply is coming to you a few weeks after your post, but if you are still interested in learning more, please feel free to message me directly.
