Hi @divyanagajy

Refer KB: KB0714231 Group the records in the List view by default on clicking a module in navigation bar

Resolution

1)In the nav bar, search for System definition --> Modules and select it.
2)In the list, filter the table(example: Incident) and the module title(example: All) where you want to group the list and open it
3)Under the Link Type tab, select URL (from Arguments:) in the Link Type field
4)In the Arguments field, paste the below value

incident_list.do?sysparm_query=GROUPBYstate&sysparm_first_row=1&sysparm_view=

This will group the incident table list by State for 'Incident --> All' module

Hi @divyanagajy ,

group the desired column and

Click on the filter icon and add a sort

or you can add the sort directly in the url

https://Your-InstanceName.service-now.com/sys_script_list.do?sysparm_query=ORDERBYDESCorder%5EGROUPB...

In the Demand table, when users apply Group By → State, the records are currently displayed in alphabetical order. However, the business requirement is to display the state groups in a custom sequence based on the demand lifecycle, rather than alphabetically.

Expected order:

  1. Draft
  2. Ready for Screening
  3. Screening
  4. Qualified
  5. Approved
  6. Implementation
  7. Closed
  8. Rejected

Is there a way to configure the Group By functionality to display state groups in this specific order instead of the default alphabetical sorting?
