ServiceNow IDE (sn_glider_app) Issue: UI Loads but Cannot Open Folders or Files

Hi Community,

I am currently facing an issue with the ServiceNow IDE and am hoping someone here has encountered this before or can point me in the right direction.

Issue Description: When navigating to the ServiceNow IDE (sn_glider_app/ide.do), the interface loads successfully, but the workspace remains completely blank. I am unable to view, open, or edit any files or folders. The standard VS Code-like editor area just shows the default keyboard shortcuts, but no directory structure , workspaces is accessible.

Steps I Have Taken / Verified:

  • Roles: I have verified that my account possesses the necessary developer roles (including admin/sn_glider roles).

  • Browser Troubleshooting: Attempted clearing cache and cookies, and tried accessing the IDE in an incognito window, but the issue persists.

Environment Details:

  • Instance Type: Sub-production / Demo instance

  • Current Release: Australia

I have attached a screenshot of what the IDE looks like on my end for better context.

Has anyone experienced this specific behavior? Are there any hidden system properties, plugin dependencies, or specific role mappings I might be missing for the IDE to fully initialize the workspace?

Any insights, workarounds, or troubleshooting steps would be highly appreciated!

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi @divyashah

Just do following thing.

1. Repair ServiceNow IDE application (sn_glider) plugin. Check now.

2. If still not working, Try in Incognito/Inprivate browser

2. If still not working , Configure which version of the ServiceNow SDK an application uses from the ServiceNow IDE.

Refer: Update the ServiceNow SDK version for an application in the ServiceNow IDE
