Picture this: you've invested in ServiceNow and want to prove its worth to stakeholders. Without a structured approach, you might struggle to demonstrate ROI, justify future investments, or identify opportunities for optimization.
Sound familiar? You're not alone! This is one of the most common challenges we hear from ServiceNow customers.
To help you set yourself up for success, we built Value Management in ServiceNow Impact—a continuous journey that transforms your ServiceNow investment into measurable business value.
So what is Value Management? It's a continuous framework that helps you transform your ServiceNow investment into measurable business value. Think of it as a continuous loop that keeps your transformation moving forward, with each phase building on the last to maximize your ServiceNow investment.
Here's what you can do with Value Management:
✨ Focus on the right objectives aligned to your strategy
📊 Track meaningful progress with operational performance data
📈 Tell your transformation story through compelling metrics and reports
🌐 Measure business objectives across multiple ServiceNow instances
💰 Validate the financial impact of your improvements over time
Note: Value Reports are available only for Advanced(legacy) or Total Impact customers, or Guided customers with an add-on SKU or associated accelerator.
To get started, check out this 10 minute video that shows you exactly how to navigate the complete Value Management lifecycle:
Remember: Value Management isn't a one-time setup—it's a continuous loop. After validating your value through Value Reports, you return to Objectives and Outcomes to refine your targets and keep the cycle going. Each iteration builds on the previous one, creating a compounding effect where insights lead to optimization, optimization leads to greater value, and that value enables further strategic investments.
Pro tip: You can start tracking objectives and outcomes at any point in your journey, but metrics will only begin collecting from the moment tracking is enabled. We highly encourage you to enable them early to establish a baseline for future comparison!
