execution time error

Hi All , 

when I am trying to resolve the problem when there are active problem task Due to (OOTB) BR it give an error but for temporarily moves to resolve state then when I refresh the page the state will come back to fix in progress state (which is correct behaviour) .. 

 

is it expected??

 

and is it because Ui action runs first and then business rule... 

 

is it the case ..? and how to resolve if one can and want to??

yes that's OOTB behavior when update operation is aborted by business rule.

The state shows as updated but when you reload it's still the older value.

This you can see in many OOTB tables
