HRSD rollout in Vietnam/Indonesia – language support question

Hi Community,

 

We’re looking at rolling out HRSD in Vietnam and Indonesia, but I don’t see Vietnamese or Indonesian listed as supported out-of-the-box languages.

 

Has anyone dealt with this before? Curious what approach you took and how well it worked in practice.

 

Also wondering if anyone knows whether Vietnamese or Indonesian language support is on the ServiceNow roadmap for future releases.

 

Would really appreciate hearing what others have done. Thanks!

Hi @mshakeshaft,

 

when it comes to translations, it's quite complex topic in ServiceNow. There are localisation plugins available with 22 languages supported but Vietnamese and neither Indonesian are included in them.

 

These are plugins that after activation translates all the existing labels or texts in ServiceNow - e.g. field names, menu items, time zones, choice values, etc. But as said this is not available for the 2 languages in discussion and I don't know how to find out if or when it can be expected to deliver...

 

Search for "I18N" or "translation" in plugin manager or navigate to: https://yourinstance.service-now.com/now/app-manager/home/tab/available_for_you/sort/recently_released/search/I18N

There are other options how to translate your environment but it would require professional translators to provide the key values and then to do it manually.
