In the Zurich Store 1 release, we’re continuing to evolve ServiceNow Studio as the central workspace for low-code development on the Now Platform.
This update focuses on eliminating friction, improving transparency, and laying the foundation for more integrated AI development—supporting both individual developers and teams building at scale.
Source Control
Studio now supports Source Control! - This allows developers to manage versioning with push, pull, and branching directly from within the ServiceNow Studio experience. This brings Studio in line with broader enterprise development practices and simplifies collaboration across teams.
Redesigned App Detail Page
We’ve introduced a new App Detail page that surfaces application metadata by file type, provides direct access to key actions, and improves overall app visibility. It’s a clearer way to understand how an app is structured and what components are included.
Smarter File Navigation
A new “Show in File Navigator” action helps developers quickly locate open files in the tree view. For larger applications, this small change significantly reduces context-switching and improves navigation speed.
AI File Category
Studio now includes a dedicated “AI” file type in the file navigator. Developers can work with AI Agent Studio and Now Assist Skill Kit components, beginning in Studio—supporting development of agents, skills, and workflows, starting in ServiceNow Studio.
Developer Comfort Improvements
Dark Mode is now available through user preferences, improving comfort for developers working extended hours. We’ve also added a documentation card to the Studio homepage, making it easier to access reference material and best practices without leaving the workspace.
