Can we downgrade the dev instance upgrade from Zurich to Xanadu

Prod env is in Xanadu 10b. Dev is in Zurich.

All partners are doing actively development work in dev env. Lot of promotion need to be done in qa and prod. Now having in dev in Zurich, qa and prod in Xanadu, what option we have to promote changes from dev to qa to prod.?

If promotion cannot be done from Zurich to Xanadu version what is the next option?

you can't downgrade between family releases, you can clone PROD to DEV but remember developers need to take backup of their update sets and once cloning is done, apply the update sets again

Hi @AnuragK71448466

I've seen a ServiceNow version downgrade only once in my life.. and to achieve that it must be before passing 7 days after the upgrade.

ServiceNow keeps the last 7 days of PROD environment, and one of my clients upgraded their production env and everything was bad due to too many customisations and they needed to downgrade it back, and it was possible to clone that from the backup made 7 days ago...

But it's not possible to wake up and decide to downgrade two releases just like that..... it's just not possible.

Hi @AnuragK71448466

Downgrading is not technically easy, but it can be done only by cloning. This is because when we say downgrade, the system needs to remove all new fields and replace them with older ones, which can create issues. Therefore, it is better to clone the instance instead of attempting a downgrade.

No, you cannot downgrade your PDI to an older version.
