Hi Community,
I’m investigating how ServiceNow and Zing handle dictionary attributes related to full-text indexing. I have a specific question about the parm1 field and sys_dictionary:
- When parm1 has a single value (e.g., name)
- vs when it has multiple values (e.g., [name,description,short_description])
I would like to understand:
- Does Zing index all parm1 values the same way, or are there internal differences in how each field is tokenized or prioritized?
- Are additional fields treated as independent tokens, or does Zing create some sort of combination/tuple between them?
- Is there official documentation or technical reference that explains this difference clearly?
My goal is to optimize text_index for global search, and I want to rely on official documentation rather than community interpretation.
Thanks in advance for any clarification or reference!
