Difference in Zing behavior when parm1 has single vs multiple values in sys_dictionar

Hi Community,

I’m investigating how ServiceNow and Zing handle dictionary attributes related to full-text indexing. I have a specific question about the parm1 field and sys_dictionary:

  • When parm1 has a single value (e.g., name)
  • vs when it has multiple values (e.g., [name,description,short_description])

I would like to understand:

  1. Does Zing index all parm1 values the same way, or are there internal differences in how each field is tokenized or prioritized?
  2. Are additional fields treated as independent tokens, or does Zing create some sort of combination/tuple between them?
  3. Is there official documentation or technical reference that explains this difference clearly?

My goal is to optimize text_index for global search, and I want to rely on official documentation rather than community interpretation.

Thanks in advance for any clarification or reference!
