Flow Designer not triggering after removing auto-approval step

I have created a new Flow Designer flow (Housing Flow) to handle student housing requests. The flow includes steps such as retrieving catalog variables, updating the request, requesting approval, creating a catalog task, and updating the RITM status based on the approval decision.
When submitting the request, I noticed that it gets automatically approved without triggering the approval step in the flow. In the request comments, I see the message: "Request automatically approved for total price <= $1000". I found that there was a step for auto-approving requests under €1000, which I have now deleted.
After removing that step, the request no longer triggers the flow at all. None of the flow steps are executed—no approval, no emails, and no tasks are created. It seems that the system does not initiate the processing flow for the request anymore.
How can I resolve this and ensure that the Flow Designer flow runs properly after submission?

Hi @aikaterinik,
I can see you've created workflow and steps within it, but you didn't connect those steps with each other, maybe this is the cause of not triggering your flow?
Thanks & Regards,

Hi @aikaterinik ,
Can you please check whether the "workflow" is triggering on the REQ level and the mentioned message is coming from REQ level only.
And also, I observed that the Flow is not attached/triggered on the RITM level. Please verify the REQ form related links "show workflow" you will get an idea.
if the provided inputs are helpful to debug it, please mark it as "Helpful" and "Accept" the solution.
Regards,
Raviteja

you should not touch the OOTB "Service Catalog Request" workflow.
If you have then revert it to OOTB version
Things to check
1) is flow published and added to that catalog item in process engine
2) is your REQ auto approved after submission or it's in pending state? If it's auto approved then Flow should kick off
3) your instance should have only 1 Workflow on sc_request table. Hopefully it's not deactivated or not deleted.
check these links
Flow not triggered by Service Catalog
Flow Designer not Triggering for Service Catalog Request Item
"Service Catalog" Trigger type Flow is not started when Catalog Item request is created
If my response helped please mark it correct and close the thread so that it benefits future readers.

Hi @aikaterinik ,
As per my understanding you want to send the approval request
Look like your flow is good, please check few points-
1. what is your flow trigger condition
2. verify the approval user (abraham linkan) is active or inactive
3. once you trigger the flow- open the execution and verify it's executing or not
4. if triggering what is the error ?
please share your response so I can help you further
If you found my response helpful, please mark it as helpful and accept it as the solution.
Thank you
