This is more or less a question on if you should. The flow designer offers the use of variables instead. Feel free to look into that:

ps.: Technically it is probably doable, but i would rather hand-over the proper variables as flow-inputs and use variables within the flow-designer. [Correction: technically it is not possible]

There is no g_scratchpad feature in Flow Designer, and it’s generally unnecessary anyway since you can access data from every step directly in Flow.

what's your actual question?
g_scratchpad is used in display business rule to pass value to client side scripts etc
But in terms of flow there is nothing as such as flow runs in background
