PDI dev381884 stuck hibernating - Wake/Refresh/Release all disabled

Hi everyone,

My PDI (dev381884, Zurich release) has been stuck in "Hibernating" status for 2+ days now.

I've tried:
- Clicking Wake Instance — no response
- Clicking Refresh — no response
- Logging out and back in, incognito browser
- Trying different networks

Now even the Actions → Release Instance option is greyed out/disabled, so I can't release it to request a new one either.

Instance URL: https://dev381884.service-now.com/

Could someone from the ServiceNow team or community please help me get this instance released, or advise on next steps?

Thank you!

Hi @suganyababu

It looks like this is a known issue.

There is no official support for this issue, so it is difficult to say exactly what is causing it or when it will be resolved. At this stage, patience may be the best option while waiting for a fix.

An infrastructure-related issue beginning on July 22 caused the ServiceNow Developer Site to become temporarily unavailable and affected the availability of some Personal Developer Instances (PDIs).

The Developer Site is now back online, but some PDI-related actions remain paused while ServiceNow continues to investigate and resolve the issue.

Current status:

  • Developer Site: Available
  • New PDI provisioning: Paused
  • PDI reclaim and wake actions: Paused
  • Existing PDIs: Some remain offline
  • User action required: None at this time

ServiceNow does not expect any data loss. Affected PDIs are currently hibernating, and the data stored on them is expected to remain available once the instances are restored.

If your PDI is offline, you will need to wait until it becomes available again before accessing your data. No action is currently required.

ServiceNow is continuing to monitor the situation and will provide further updates as more information becomes available.
