Query related to field type

what is the main difference between field name type and choice field . I can also select or choose dependent value in choice field also, what is the exact difference between these two. can anyone help ?

your question is not entirely clear but i will try to answer it...

• Field type 
  • decides on what data is expected,
  • examples of various types:
    • short text, long text, date, number, email, phone number, true/false, image, URL, ...
• Choice field
  • field with given choices,
  • examples
    • State field with choices: New > Open > WIP > Resolved > Closed,
    • Category with choices: Software, Hardware, Other, ...
• Dependent value
  • selecting a value in one field will determine the available options in another
  • Field Country > choice list, you select Portugal and dependent value in City will be Porto, Coimbra, Lisbon, Leiria, ...
    • If you select Portugal then you will not see cities outside of Portugal in the City field, that's the dependency
