Hi Community,
I have been working on an Automated Test Framework (ATF) test in my ServiceNow instance, and I created a “Run Server-Side Script” test step with a custom script. However, all of a sudden, the script content disappeared and I am unable to see or edit it anymore.
I have verified the following:
I have atf_test_admin and atf_test_designer roles.
The ATF plugin is active in my instance.
The test and step are not locked or read-only.
I tried clearing browser cache and using different browsers but the script is still not visible.
The test step was not recently moved via update sets.
Could anyone please help me understand why this might happen and how I can recover or fix the missing server-side script in the ATF test step?
Any pointers, known issues, or troubleshooting steps would be highly appreciated.
Thank you!

Navigate to system definition>>table and enter sys_atf_step_config.
Search for the record with the step field pointing to your test step.
If the script is still there, then it might just be a UI rendering issue or fix the ACL.
If it's gone entirely, try restoring from a backup, updateset. or clone history if available.

Did you recently upgrade?
Did you check any Client script or UI policy is hiding that?
Did you check any field level READ ACL is blocking?
If my response helped please mark it correct and close the thread so that it benefits future readers.
