Hi Community,
I wanted to understand what is the difference between a Service Offering, an Application Business Service and a Business Application?
In Service Now, it is not easy to understand the relationships between them.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi @gimrebyc ,
In ServiceNow, a Service represents the type of service an organization delivers, providing a high-level view of a capability, such as "Email Service". A Service Offering, in contrast, is a specific, requestable catalog item within that Service, representing different variations or "flavors" of that service with distinct features, support levels, and pricing, like a "Basic Email Account" or a "Premium Email Account with 24/7 Support"
Just an exmaple and anlogy:-
Service - Car Gararge
Service Offering - Car washing, Car Painting, Car repair etc..
Service - Testing
Service Offering - Functional Testing, Performance Testing, Load testing etc.
In ServiceNow, a Service Offering is a specific, consumable service for end-users (e.g., "Gold Support"), a Business Application is a high-level, logical construct representing an application's core functionality (e.g., a "Payroll System"), and an Application Business Service is the technical, operational view of a specific deployed instance of that Business Application (e.g., the "Production Payroll System" for a particular region). The core difference is that Service Offerings focus on what the customer buys, Business Applications on the conceptual application, and Application Business Services on its operational state and technical infrastructure.
If my answer helepd you, please mark it - solution Accepted.

Refer CSDM v5.0 document that explains in detail how Foundation Data, Applications, Services and Service Offerings are related.
If this helped to answer your query, please mark it helpful & accept the solution.
