SN Utils

Hi

I need help undoing an action that I unknowingly did using an SN Utils command (supposedly I typed //dn but not sure), and now I am getting this Warning message Update Set: Default global (highlighted in red color in the attached screenshot) on the banner of my SN developer instance. Can someone let me know how can I remove this warning or undo the action caused by a SNUtils command.

Thanks
Rajagopallan

It is only recommendation from SNUtils to inform you to create a new update set, it has no impact on you or any other user.

If you will make any changes it will be saved in Default update set and it is not considered good practice. Nothing else, you don't need to worry.

It is basically the same as ServiceNow does ootb - the red highlight of the Default, if you make any non-Default update current, both the red highlight as well as the message will disappear.

If you want to verify, deactivate your SNUtils - the red highlgiht will remain because it is OOTB ServiceNow feature.

Then activate it back and change to another update set, both things will disappear.

It is a help for developers.

Hi @RajagopallaV

as far as I know /dn is not any slashcommand, perhaps /dns?

For that, log out and log in and the session should terminate whatever the slashcommand was doing :))

But if it is for the message:

It is there always when you hover over, it is warning that you should never have default update set, if you will create an update set and call it "My update set", make it current and it will disappear.

In case that you do some data change it may result in auto-creation of some records, for that it is good practice to have other update set than the Default.

Let me know if this helped

Hi Kamil

Thanks for your response.

So, are you saying that this message highlighted in red comes by default for and not just me, and is not caused by any slash commands given by me.

Yes it sn utils only work for user sessions in browser, only visible to user who initiated commands it will not affect other users.

You can impersonate another user and see if it is impacted or not with warning.

If my response helped, please mark it as the accepted solution and give a thumbs up👍.
Thanks,
