Hello
Anyone know ,My requirement is we need a notification created when approaching the end of generated fiscal periods and so that they can generate future Fiscal Periods
When 30 days prior to the last date of the generated fiscal periods pass
Trigger Time: Scheduled at 5:00 PM EST
I configured the flow and trigger, but it's not firing during testing when I set the date and time to the fiscal end date on FY27 record . Since this process should only run every 8–10 years (not daily at 5 PM EST), how can I properly test the trigger?"

Hi @rinathombar ,
You can test this scenario by creating a test record with a fiscal period end date that is approaching soon, rather than using the actual FY27 end date.
For example, set the fiscal period end date to a date within the next 30 days and verify whether the scheduled flow triggers at the expected time. Also, check that the flow's entry criteria and scheduled trigger conditions are satisfied.
Since this process runs only once every 8–10 years, you can use a test record with a near-future date to validate the logic without waiting for the actual fiscal period end date.
Please mark this answer as helpful if it resolves your issue.

Thanks for the reply, @abirakundu23. However, there is no option to manually create a test record directly—we can only generate fiscal periods using the 'Generate' calendar option."

@rinathombar
Maybe you can try with Background script to create the record for testing.
Thank you!

Hello @rinathombar ,
As I can see your trigger is set to Entry start, before, 30 days. That means it fires 30 days before the start of a fiscal year entry, not before the end. For your requirement like you want Entry end. Change Business calendar type from Entry start to Entry end.
Also the recurrence trigger is evaluated by the scheduler against the system clock,
Instead,
- Look up the real end date of your last generated Year entry (e.g 31-Dec-2027).
- Calculate how many days from today (12 Oct 2026) until that date, e.g ~445 days.
- Temporarily set the offset to that many days (e.g Days = 445, before, Entry end), so the trigger fires within the next scheduled run.
If my response helped mark as helpful and accept the solution.
