Deal Size automatically calculated by Line Items in Opportunity Management

Hello Community,

 

I have an idea regarding "Deal Size" in Opportunity Management.

 

As I understand it, currently the Deal Size is not automatically calculated based on the Opportunity Line Items. This means that I have to manually enter the value into the Deal Size field.

 

However, the Opportunity Line Items already have price information and can be configured accordingly.

If the Deal Size could be automatically calculated based on the Opportunity Line Items, it would simplify the process as I would only need to manage the Line Items.

 

Could you please advise on how to achieve this? Alternatively, it would be great if this functionality could be included as an out-of-the-box feature.

Thank you for sharing your question with us. 

For now , we do auto-calculate the Total one time price for all non-recurring products, Total monthly recurring price for monthly products , Total annual recurring price for annual recurring products . 

You could hence set up a business rule to auto-calculate the Deal-size as a sum of these fields , if this is the formula you are looking for. 

 

However, we are introducing more meaningful calculated fields like ACV, TCV, ARR (even for monthly recurring products), MRR (even for annual products) as well as  an ability to auto-calculate the deal size out of the box as part of our roadmap.  Please watch out for more updates in this regard.

Are you saying that the Cost Management function will improve in your roadmap?

I believe that the current capabilities of Cost Management are limited. For instance, I am able to configure costs for each Product Offering individually, but I cannot configure costs based on Product Offering attributes.
