Add Sub Program to a Program

Hi All,

Out of the box, the system supports adding subprojects under a project. Does it also support creating subprograms under a program? Can we customize this?

Hi,

The platform doesn't support subprograms nor would it be a customisation I'd recommend because of the rollup behaviour that would need unpicking. 

What is the use case for sub programs? There are possible other / better ways to achieve this

Thank you for the quick response. We have a large program that is expected to span several years, and we need to organize it into multiple sub-programs, each containing its own set of projects. Could you suggest the best approach or recommended practices for structuring this hierarchy?

I would likely switch the approach, rather than managing based on duration, look at managing the risk, return, and benefits. 

What you're describing would likely be a portfolio with multiple programs, and projects. 

However you could take advantage of strategic programs, in addition to normal programs, if you alter the approach to a goal and target (or object and key result) view
