Hi Community,
We’re looking for guidance or shared experiences related to the Agile Development 2.0 deprecations, specifically around Enhancementsand Enterprise Agile Planning (EAP).
Context:
- We actively use Enhancements today as part of our Agile Development 2.0 operating model.
- We have Strategic Planning installed, which includes EAP, though EAP is not yet configured or in use.
- Enhancements are a key intake and tracking mechanism for our teams, so any change has a significant process impact.
Questions for the Community:
- Has anyone successfully leveraged Enhancements using Enterprise Agile Planning (EAP)?
- Is there a supported or recommended approach to aligning or integrating EAP with the Enhancement table?
- For customers impacted by the Agile Development 2.0 deprecations, what alternatives has ServiceNow recommended for Enhancement-based intake and tracking?
- Are there best practices, reference architectures, or lessons learned you can share from similar transitions?
We’re also engaging ServiceNow Impact, but would value real‑world insights from customers who have navigated this already.
Thanks in advance for any guidance or experiences you’re willing to share.

Hi,
Enhancements don't connect directly to EAP. You have two options for this:
- Leverage CWM and connected work to bring in Enhancements as a work item
- Convert enhancements to stories once the requirement is fully identified and translatable into a unit of work
The path you choose will depend on whether you work directly on the enhancement from the point of it being raised up until deployment, or leverage stories to manage the delivery of enhancement

Hi Kieran this is helpful thank you very much. We have a big decision to make as we leverage the Enhancement table a lot. I would suspect the Enhancement table would still be there but we will need to decide if we are moving forward with CWM which we don't have. We do have EAP as part of SPW and we want to integration ServiceNow with Jira using Epic and Stories. So we will need to convert those enhancements into Stories and this table should be available in EAP I would presume.
