Adjusting the Project Start Date

I have created a project which the planned start date was set to 1 Feb 2017 and then in the process I have discovered that the correct planned start date is 15 Jan 2017! Having used MS Project, it was very clear that I just needed to update the planned start date for the project and that should have fixed it, but it seems I am unable to do so!

It seems once the project is started and you start reporting some progress, you cannot adjust the planned start date to an earlier date.

I have tried searching the community but unfortunately I was not able to find a solution to this problem! I am really sure, I am not the first one who faced such issue

That's a great suggestion, and I hope it helps Taha, but I'm wondering if it's going to help this case. In my clean developer instance that setting is not turned on and I was able to adjust project start dates of projects.

This is really important, because Taha is right, it's a situation that many people are going to want to be able to do, and if it's not clear what conditions need to be satisfied for that to happen it's problematic, for us.

elewis33 Taha wanted to change project date after the projects goes to WIP/Closed

When project is in pending/open state its planned start date can be modified. That property is to control the modification of planned date after project has started

Like I said earlier, I was able to modify the project start date for a project that had been started, i.e. status was WIP. I guess this is a case of YMMV.

Do you know what controls bringing over the Demand's Expected Start and Due Date to the Project? Out of box this sets the Planned Start and Planned End.

Thank you.

When a project is created from demand, below is the function from "AjaxCreateRelatedEntityFromDemand" script include which sets the dates on project record
