Can I have the hourly rates I defined under Resource Roles used to generate Cost Plans?

I've defined 100 Resource Roles with hourly rates and discovered that ServiceNow is defaulting to $50/hr when I create my cost plans, for all the roles. Is there a way I can turn off the system default and use my defined resource role & rates under Resource Roles without modifying the Rate Model and adding all the roles and rates again under Rate Lines
I apologize if this is redundant

Hello @bywater ,
Thanks for checking with community.
Only one thing that you are missing is to populate the rate model in demand \ project so that the system uses the rates defined by you in the rate model and does not pick from the default rate.
To use the rates defined in the rate model, please do the following:
In demand \ project form -> Financials tab -> select the rate model.
Screenshot below:
After this system will start picking the rate mentioned in the rate model.
Hope this answers the query and if it does, please mark this as correct response.
Thank You!

Namita,
Thx for the information but I think I'm still missing something on connecting the Rate Model to Role Rates. I think I'm close, I'll try to provide more context below ... Here is my rate model and I think the right details and an example of assigning a dev as a role for building out the cost model
Thx again
Here a partial list of the roles I've defined under resource roles
Here is where I assign a nearshore dev at the $90/hr rate but it is reflected as the system default rate of $50/hr

I want to build out my cost model with just using resource roles as if I use groups, I need to assign named resources
Thx again

I discovered if I removed the Rate Model under the Financial tab (which I didn't know was assigned), ServiceNow correctly picked up the rate defined in the Resource Role. Is there a way to recalculate the rates for all the Resources that inherited the system default rate of $50/hr rate. I found if I tweak the hours on a resource assignment it recalculates properly but I didn't know if there was a refresh option somewhere....
Thx
Joe
